Yianni Stamas Tells You About Celebrations for Today

Entertainment 1

Hey there Entertainment Entrepreneurs, welcome today to three celebrations in one. Now that’s entertainment. Wow. Today, December 16, consists of elements which strangely are directly correlated with my likes and life. For example, today is Jane Austen’s birthday. She was born in 1715, December 16 and is probably best known for her novel “Pride and Prejudice,” which is the EXACT same book that my 12 year old daughter is reading right now! Seriously.

And now for more entertainment. Today is also a date that gives parents the permission to not to have to cave in on purchasing a certain toy character for their kid. We’re speaking of course of the day that it isn’t necessary to get all things Barbara Millicent Roberts, better known as her nickname name which is Barbie. When my daughter was younger she LOVED Barbie which was a fact that family and friends knew, and they quite nicely got her just about every Barbie set possible. Hence, today is known also as “National Barbie Backlash Day,” a day during which it is not required that a parent gets their child another Barbie set. At least for today anyway. And that includes Ken too!

And finally, our last entertainment entry is that today is “National Chocolate Covered Anything Day,” a day in which we have “permission” to eat ANYTHING that has chocolate in it and on it. Now that is a day I can really get behind. Even though I am on a “diet” I am going to raid the pantry for everything that has Theobroma Cacao in it, you know ground cocoa beans, those dried and fermented seeds of the evergreen tree native to the deep tropical region of the Americas…Chocolate!
